Tucked In Time Cover

Back in 2004–when I still had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up–I took several courses at NAIT. I ended up getting my certificate in digital imaging. Did I do anything with it? Not really. Most of the information I learned in those classes was pushed aside by the more important, day to day, aspects of my life. Including the two children that came shortly after my graphic design phase. Needless to say my skills got a little rusty. Today was the day I shook the dust off. Like my previous post hinted at, I was leaning towards setting up and using Wattpad to share some of my writing, in the hopes of getting usable feedback to improve my work. One of the nuggets of info I uncovered in my research is that you need a decent book cover if you have any hope of people reading your stuff in the first place. Do you know how much it costs to get a cover design?
Well, it’s a lot, let’s just leave it at that.
But wait! I remembered I had some cover-building-skills sitting in the long forgotten reaches of my brain. With a little trial and error, a free trial download of photoshop, and some help from google, I managed to whip up a passable cover for my book. Now I sit back and play the wait and see game.
